CHOP SHOP FANTASY
Rules, Scoring & Strategy
The deeper scoring system rewards finishing strength, race-winning upside, dominance, position gains and clean racing — while high incident totals and major position losses can hurt.
Weekly Format
Save anywhere from 1 to 5 drivers under the $100 salary cap. You do not have to spend the full $100 and you do not have to fill all five spots. The weekly driver pool is finalized and opens Saturday at 8:30 PM MST. Lineups stay editable until Tuesday at 4:00 PM MST, then remain locked for that Fantasy week. Every driver you save scores in every eligible Nationals, NextGen, Trucks, or O’Reilly race they run that week.
Race Scoring
Strategy
★Wins still matter most, but a clean top-five can beat a messy podium.
★Drivers who qualify poorly but finish well can create strong position-gain value.
★Long-run dominators get rewarded twice: every 10 laps led plus 25/50-lap dominance bonuses.
★High-incident drivers now carry real downside, especially at 8x and 12x+.
★A driver racing in multiple eligible Chop Shop series can score in every eligible race that week.
★Tier and salary are value guides, not guarantees. Build around upside, cleanliness, and how many races a driver can score in.
How the Weekly Winner Is Determined
Each saved driver's Fantasy points are calculated from every eligible official race result during the Fantasy week. All race scores for the drivers you saved are added together. A lineup may contain 1 to 5 drivers; the lineup with the highest weekly total wins the week.
If two teams finish with the same weekly score, the earlier-submitted lineup ranks first. Only official results stored on the Chop Shop site are scored. Pending or unposted results are never estimated.
